I normaly ship through USPS but they only seem to have online shipping rates for Express and Priority mail. I would like to just print postage for regular mail, as it’s much cheaper. Any help would be great. And I don’t have any access to the post office, that’s why i need to ship from home.

I do not want to sign-up for the paid postage vendors like stamps.com so was wondering if there is an alternative solution to to printing self-adhesive postage labels. Currently i am printing labels on regular paper via the USPS "click-n-ship" feature but the labels come out too big and does not fit on the the boxes i’m trying to ship. Anyone can shed some light on this? Thanks!
i have paypal already and the postmaster told me when shrinking the labels they dont work on the postal services standarized bar coding system so thats not an option.

Okay, so I’m a simple Ebay seller…I’m tired of dealing directly with the USPS people, because they apparently think I "ship too much" (though I know that’s their job, yes…and the reason why they are there). They always have an attitude, and frankly, I’d like to start doing everything online.

I usually ship with delivery confirmation, which I see is available on the USPS website where you can print the postage. So it prints a barcode of some type, I tape this onto my package (small bubble wrap envelope) and put it where? Do I drop it with the general letters, or do I still have to go hand it over to one of the employees?

I’m and 16 and I’m kind of lazy to read over their agreement and I’m going to ship a book, but I was wondering if I would get in trouble if I made an account online on their website (usps.com) because I’m underage? or can I make one, even though I’m 16 and print the postage to ship my book?

I need to know how long is a printed USPS package postage. Is it valid 24hrs from the purchase date or time? How does it work? Thank You

For those who aren’t stateside, the US Postal Service sells 1st class postage stamps at a rate HIGHER than the current 1st class rate, and the proceeds in excess of the 1st class rate are distributed to Breast Cancer research organizations.

Yes, it’s voluntary – you certainly aren’t required to buy the stamps, but is it discriminatory to provide a mechanism for fundraising for one sex and not the other? I see plenty of women buying those stamps, and it’s entirely conceivable that men would purchase stamps if somebody bothered to even print them.
Advocette, why should men HAVE to petition the US Postal Service to make stamps for men’s diseases?

As a matter of Federal Law, shouldn’t the USPS have either a) denied the request from Breast Cancer activists on the grounds of discrimination or b) come out with some other stamp that would mitigate the discrimination?

We’re going to be mailing around 600 letters nationwide in a targeted mailing campaign. We were going to do a mail merge and print the letters on our letterhead and probably print address labels. I think the database we have is pretty accurate – shouldn’t be too many bad addresses. Is there a postage discount we’d qualify for?

Is it worth it to go through a mailing house? How does that work – can we bring them our printed letters and say "Mail these?" (Our staff does have some down time, so we could do the envelope stuffing in-house.)

I’ve tried reading up on this at USPS.com and elsewhere but haven’t found a helpful answer. Any advice would be appreciated!

Hello, I do PHP programming and need to develop USPS pringing label, Address lookup and track package.

I look through USPS development document and I came up with a following question.
Can I also pay postage, not only printing shipping label?

I don’t see that the API allowed to make payment for returned data’s postage.
If so, is there any way to pay postage like ebay or PayPal?

Please some one advice.

Hi there. I understand that I have only 3 days to get a refund on prepaid postage that Ive paid for and printed online……(I am sending a box of items to someone out of state) they already paid me through ebay…..but the items wont be able to be shipped for another few weeks, and as far out as February 2012….(its not a typical ebay transaction, I have a relationship with this person) so I clicked ‘print shipping label’…paid for it….and printed it….. but the box wont be going out as planned…..it was printed/paid for about a week ago.

The other day I was dropping off a small/flat rate box item out to the nearest big blue USPS mailing box/bin and I got there right as the postal worker showed up. He looked at my box, and pointed out that there was printed date on the label that I had printed out……and he said "it was supposed to have shipped out this date, [and pointed to the date marked saying] they should have already gotten the package.

ALL AND ALL: what Im saying is the postal worker did not like that there was that date….SHOWING that I was DELAYED in mailing out the package……that small package was only about 4 days off from the day it was supposed to have gone out and he mentioned that….

what will happen if I try to ship a box of items with a date that’s MUCH older than a week ???? Can I hand write over that?? Can I make edits??? DID I just straight up lose my money because I waited longer than 3 days?

I want to sell stickers on ebay, they are very light and when shipped through the USPS I can just place them in a envelope with a stamp and that costs me about 44 cents. But if I use a tracking number with postage printed through paypal it cost me about .41. Can I ship them using the envelope and stamps method? What happens if the buyer claims they didn’t receive the item? I wouldn’t have any proof of delivery since I don’t have a tracking number. Thanks.
