Do you use stamps? How many?

Or do you print a label from usps and paste on the envelope?
Would this be priority mail?

In what year did the U.S. Postal Service begin printing Elvis Presley postage stamps?

I have an unopened package of these stamps and the face value per stamp was 29 cents. I don’t know how long I have had them, but I bought them directly from the PO.

How does the postal service validate postage stamps?

I was just wondering how the postal service validates that a postage stamp on an envelope you send is both valid (a design that they have created and sold) and genuine (not a forgery).

As far as I can tell, there are two general possibilities:

1. Machine verified: this would be tricky, as the software would have to scan and match colours, overlaps, etc., and also have knowledge of all stamps ever created, and reasonably determine that it is not simply an inkjet-printed sticker (i.e., a fake). There do not seem to be any easily identifiable machine-readable marks like barcodes, etc. on stamps that would facilitate this.

2. Human verified: this would seem to be even trickier, as each individual would have to have extensive knowledge of stamps – it may be the most accurate but it seems far too time-consuming (considering the volume of national post) to be practical.

An answer pertaining to any country is fine, though I would be most interested in info specific to the US (where I live)

i have a stamp collection book it says modern postage stamp album printed in 1946?

i know nothing about stamps its has a couple of hundred stamps in it how can i find out how much its worth

They don't put a value on US Stamps anymore. How do you know if the stamp is still usable?

They gave up on printing stamps with a value on it a while ago.

I’ve found some stamps that are old but I don’t know if it’s before the latest postage rate hike. Can I still use a "first class" stamp even though I may have bought it before they raised the postage rates?

predated postage allowed?

Hi guys!

I have this program (stamps.com) where I can print postage on envelopes, like I can print stamps directly to an envelope. My question is that can I print a bunch out now and then use later? My concern is the date printed on the stamp (it prints one for some reason). Is pre-dated postage accepted and/or allowed?

Thanks!

Isn't Stamps.com a ripoff?

So, I wanted to find out if there was a way to print stamps online.. PayPal shipping does labels but it’s only for parcels, no letters, postcards, etc. You can’t print out a .44 cent stamp, or a .05 cent stamp, or whatever. Anyway I found out you can do this on Stamps.com

The thing is you have to order labels. In other words, it’s costing more than simply buying stamps at the post office.

The good news is that when you start out, they give you free to spend on stamps. And a few sample labels. So what I guess I’m going to do, is I’m going to just use up the and never use it again.

So, the real quesiton is, is there any way to print out stamps and still pay the same as what you’d pay at a post office?

Because this paying for labels thing is essentially the same thing as saying "I want to pay more for postage just for the luxury of printing at home".
