There was a very eerie Greek postage stamp printed once – it featured a golden face, with vague eyes, nose, and mouth, with a radiating "wave" effect seeming to originate from the face’s large forehead. The only lettering I can make out is something like: EΛΛAΣ HELLAS 250…
It can be seen – briefly – here, at 0:15:

Any info at all as to when this stamp was released, or even what the feature is on here?

Can you tell me more about EBay shipping options?

So I have decided to start selling on EBay and I have items to sell, I have a scale to weigh my packages on, I have mailers to send things in, etc. What I’m uncertain of are the actual shipping options. I started to put up an item and the only thing I’m stumped on is what to choose for shipping. There are so many options. I would personally like to be able to put these packages in my mailbox and the mail person take them to be mailed. I know that I could have postage labels printed but don’t know much about it or how it works. I don’t know if I can just put the amount of money needed in the mailbox with the package? If I was just going to guess at it I would have chosen the "USPS First Class Mail" and to ship for .99 (it’s a VHS) because it seems that would cover it shipping to anywhere in the US from the details I got from shipping calculators and all. Any and all detailed information on all choices would be a great deal of help! I hope!

USPS Small Flat Rate box too small for customs envelope?

I sell things on eBay quite frequently, and I do get a lot of international buyers. I’m sick of having to run to the post office and pay for the international postage out of my pocket, so I figured I could try printing out the international postage through the PayPal system. I’ve always done that with domestic orders, but when I go to print out international postage, it says I need a specific customs form that is huuuge.

I ordered that customs form (2976-A) and the envelope that comes with it (2976-E) from the USPS website. I also ordered 10 Small Flat Rate boxes. But the problem is, the envelope is bigger than the box itself! The envelope is around 1" longer on each side and the top and bottom of it.

When I go to ship something internationally, I just have the little form with the green thing on the left of it that fits conveniently on the package, but when I want to print postage with PayPal, I have to use this big form.

So here are my 2 questions:

1) How do I attach the customs envelope onto the Small Flat Rate box? Am I supposed to wrap it around the package somehow?

2) Do I HAVE to use this specific form when printing out international postage via PayPal, or can I use the little customs form? I’m assuming not because when I go to print out the international postage on PayPal, it has me fill out the customs form online, which I’m assuming is the same size as the 2976-A form.

Thanks!
@BaronVonParty

I can use the Small Flat Rate box to ship internationally. I just shipped an item internationally with that box the other day, actually.

The Priority Mail Small Flat Rate Box is … also can be used for international shipping.

I have a feeling i'm getting scammed on an ebay auction… what do you think?

i won a bag online (i really wish i didn’t now), the "winning" bidder suppsedly did not pay up so she offered me a "second chance offer". in her auction she said that payment had to be received in 2 days or negative feedback would be received and the first winner did not pay up, but til this day she still hasn’t let them neg feedback.

the seller said she sent it out on july 31st via priority mail. it’s the 11th and i still haven’t received it. i paid for her to insure the package and she did. i called her out on if she actually sent the package and so she sent me a picture of the receipts she got at the post office. the thing is… she shipped from hawaii from, i guess what was a contract station. the receipt is stamped w/ the official post office stamp but the receipt was printed off one of those cheap registers that you can buy at walmart (no post office address printed on it, etc) in the spot where the postman would write the postage amount on the insurance label, she wrote it!
i have a feeling that she either works at that post office or knows a friend who does. i want my money back! i paid through paypal and it was 0. she insists that i wait it out so she can file a claim w/ the post office after 21 days. but what good will that do me? it is she who has to file the claim and is she who will collect the money from the claim, correct? i really regret buying from her. she had great feedback 100% and has been a member of ebay since 02. i looked at her feedback and she sells a lot of authentic designer stuff, but i noticed that my purchase was the biggest "sale" she’s gotten. i had a run in with a man whom i won a 0 palm pilot and he sent me an empty box w/ delivery confirmation! paypal said they couldn’t do anything about it since he had proof that i received the package. but i contacted the attorney general’s office, filed a police report and filed reported him to the post master for mail fraud. do you think i’m in the process of getting scammed again?

ebay first time seller advice?

Need eBay selling advice in a list or "steps to take, in order" format. First time seller of personal items/garage sale items not bulk wholesale items. Issues of concern: open new credit card to track sales necessary? Shipping charges, should they be a flat rate or what? Returns and privacy.. will describe detail in posting with photos but do not want returns as the point is to get rid of them. Are all sales auction type until you reach some level of selling or can you post "sell it now" right off the bat? Does everyone get a post office box to deal with communications or returns? We are just having an online garage sale and are concerned people might deal with us like we are a business and either stop payments because we do not have a rating yet or be disgruntled about shipping charges. How can we keep this garage sale like yet sell all our items in a professional manner so that everyone is happy with their items and us. Do not have scale, postage calculator or printing supplies.

How do I get the electronic rate for delivery confirmation when buying postage online ?

USPS is telling me its "not available" but I know it is. Ive sent books via paypal and gotten it but apparently half.com & paypal have that setup.

Im trying to print postage & avoid having to go in a post office to mail. And I NEED delivery confirmation.
I got paypal to do it but it wasnt easy.

And they charged me 19 cents extra for delivery confirm.

But, I think the postage was inflated too.

It was .56 for 3 oz whereas, the in post office price for 4 oz was .39 according to usps.com.

Shipping to Australia from the United States?

Hey all.. I’ve searched high and low and come up with nothing but conflicting information.
I’m basically trying to find the cheapest way to send an 8" x 10" photo mailer to Australia.
It weighs all of 3 ounces (if even that). What customs forms would I need? Can the postage and customs forms be printed online? Thanks!

How much does it end up costing to print postage using the USPS online service?

I am looking into dropping my Pitney Bowes service and printing postage and shipping labels from the USPS online service "Click-N-Ship." Is this worth doing? Will I be able to print as much or as little postage as I need? Am I required to pay for anything other than the postage that I’m buying?
